paper leaves with wool and a pipe cleaner caterpillar, butterfly symmetry painting, looking at the Very Hungry Caterpillar story and doing lots of maths and counting games based around the story. We have been bug hunting in the garden and observing the different creatures we have found, and comparing them.

For the last 2 weeks the children have enjoyed watching some live caterpillars grow and spin their chrysalis's, and emerge as butterflies. The children have done some lovely obseravtional drawings of the butterflies and we are looking forward to letting them fly free at the end of the day!
